Sharon Alyne Brunson, 83 of Plano, Texas, formally of Marfa and Alpine, entered eternal life on September 18, 2018 with her family by her side.
Alyne was born to the late George F. Potter and Gladys (Seay) Potter, July 22, 1935 in Sonora, Sutton County, Texas. Alyne graduated from high school in San Angelo, Texas.
Alyne married the late Kenneth R. Brunson, and they lived together in various areas, until settling in Marfa, and finally in Alpine. Alyne then relocated to Plano, and has resided there for the past 12 years.
Alyne is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband.
Those left to remember and honor the memory of Alyne are her two sons, Wayne M. Brunson and wife Valorie of Jacksons Gap, Al, and Daniel L. Brunson and wife Jeree of Allen, Texas; grandchildren Zack Brunson and wife Krystin of Haywood, California, Jessica Brunson of Atlanta, Georgia, Kyle Brunson and wife Kalli of Athens, Texas, and Kory Burnson and wife Mary of Wylie, Texas; great-grandchildren Dazen Brunson, Kasen Brunson, Blair Brunson and soon to be born Wesley David Monrow Brunson; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Alyne was an accomplished wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She enjoyed reading books, and never was without her Amazon Kindle E-Reader. She loved to cook and was a very loving and generous soul and would do anything for anyone. Alyne was a very humble person, rarely reaching out for help and taking care of needed tasks by herself. She was a Baptist by faith.
Graveside services for Alyne was held on Saturday, September 22 in Elm Grove Cemetery in Alpine with Joe Greer Denham III of Alpine Memorial Funeral Home serving as Funeral Celebrant.
